The Federal College of Agriculture Akure was today privileged to be among selected Colleges and Research Institutes which benefited from the distribution of extension teaching materials for adopted villages/adopted schools program under the Agricultural Research and Outreach Centres of Agricultural Research Council of Nigeria (ARCN).
This is in line with the Federal government’s emphasis and commitment to strengthen agricultural research, training, and extension activities in the country and to promote the government’s economic diversification agenda.
Special guest at the ceremony and Chairman House Committee on Agric. Institutions and Colleges Hon. Munir Dan’Agundi remarked that the legislature is set to work with the executive arm of government to ensure that Agric research and training are given necessary priority in government policies and programs.
Other dignitaries present at the ceremony were the chairman ARCN governing board Hon. Tunji Ajagbe, Executive Secretary ARCN, Prof Garba Sharubutu, and other members of the ARCN board. The Provost, Dr. Akinyemi Fadiyimu was on hand to receive the extension materials on behalf of the College.
